RRRBITTTT! Lets Go Count Frogs! July 3, 2009

Jennifer Anderson-Cruz will be conducting her annual frog surveys at Nahant Marsh, 4220 Wapello Avenue in Davenport, IA.

If you and your family want to learn to identify six different frog/toad calls and other mysterious night sounds of the marsh, you can join Jennifer on her search on July 3rd.

Participants will meet in Nahant’s front parking lot with surveys starting just after dusk and lasting 2 to 2 ½ hours. Attendees should wear long pants, covered shoes/hiking boots and bring a flashlight (VERY IMPORTANT) as well mosquito repellent. No surveys will be conducted if sustained winds are more than 15 miles-per-hour, during heavy rain or lightening storms or on days that are extremely cold.
