Run for the Arts Poker Run November 14, 2010

If you ride a bicycle, scooter or golf cart, don't miss the first "Run For The Arts" Poker Run to benefit the Industrial Arts Center on Sunday, November 14. Enjoy a leisurely ride around Gulfport, have a little fun at some popular Gulfport spots and party with a bunch of fun local folks. The entry fee is $25 per bicycle, scooter or golf cart. Participants will receive free refreshments and a commemorative t-shirt at the end of the Poker Run at 5:30 pm.
The afternoon of fun begins with registration from 1-2 p.m. at the Industrial Arts Center. Riders will take off in small groups and stop at four locations around Gulfport. After completing a skill game at each stop, participants will receive a playing card for their poker hand. Participants must arrive at poker run party headquarters, Gulfport On The Rocks, by 5:30 pm to receive their fifth and final card. Live music will be provided by Sterling Magee and the Harlem Blues Band from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. The winner with the best poker hand will receive a hand built clay trophy by IAC instructor Danielle Shockley, plus some surprise gifts.
