"Run for the Roses" October 23, 2009

This is a benefit poker run to support "The House of

Roses" (THOR) a home that provides a safe environment

for women who want and need change.
It will be supported by ABATE (American Bikers

Association To Educate) Crawford County Chapter.

Starting location at 25082 Miller Hill Road in

Cambridge Springs Pa

Titusville Pa.

Sigel Pa.

Ridgeway Pa.

Warren Pa.

Back to Cambridge Springs Pa.

This event is open to the public, all wheels, and all

weather. Food, beverages and music will be provided

after the run, all donations are welcomed.

In memory of Jessica Rose, “The House of Roses” (THOR).
My eighteen year old daughter Jessica Rose crossed over on May 17, 2000 (St. Patrick’s Day) now called St. Jessica’s Day. This situation has certainly changed life’s course. At this point I was determined to use her death to educate, and help others. Furthermore, the “The House of Roses” had persuaded me to earn my masters degree in social work in order to assist with the development of this home.
The purpose of THOR is that every woman who has the opportunity to encounter this facility will be offered a safe environment. The woman of THOR will be given the encouragement and help they need with life’s situations.
After abbreviating “The House of Roses” (T.H.O.R.) I was astonished, realizing, that my daughter’s boyfriends name was Thor…
Coincidence, possibly, but how inspirational it was for me. With all the work that has been completed to make this dream possible, I now understand that people die, love never dies, so we all better start living. Out of Jessica’s death, “The House of Roses” was born, once being a dream, now an attainable goal.
