Sam Gilliam: Gallery Talk April 30, 2011

Sam Gilliam first took his paintings off their stretchers in 1965, using the liberated canvases to transform gallery walls into three-dimensional abstractions. For this exhibition, Gilliam will transform an 8,000 square foot space into a dynamically different work of art.
