On exhibit will be cage birds, including budgies, colorful finches and canaries! Hundreds of birds are expected to compete and several renowned bird judges will award ribbons and trophies. Song canaries will be judged on their singing abilities. Other birds will be judged on condition and conformation. There will be some birds and related supplies for sale, but this is primarily a judging show, not a bird mart.

workers

This event is being held at the Woodfin Suites Hotel in Emeryville in violation of a statewide boycott of that hotel by dozens of community, labor, and faith organizations. The Woodfin refused for nearly a year to comply with the city's living wage ordinance, fired workers after they stood up for their rights on the job, and still owes workers $200,000 in backwages. IMC Norcal should respect the boycott not give their money to a corporation that will use it to fight their workers.
