Santa Monica Place Opens Samo's Clubhouse November 18, 2011

Santa Monica Place is excited to announce the installment of SAMO's Clubhouse, a children' play area featuring one-of-a-kind SAMO the Whale! The shopping mecca in the heart of Santa Monica has partnered with Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA to bring a much anticipated, life-sized whale to the community set to open with a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00AM.

Santa Monica Place created this interactive and educational sculpture for children under 8 years old which will also be the focal point for the third floor dining deck and a highly visible attraction for shoppers and visitors. On November 18th, Santa Monica Place is inviting families to join them for a fun-filled day of entertainment and activities to celebrate the exciting grand opening. Throughout the weekend, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA will be collecting "Wish List" items to support Child Life in an effort to ensure the needs and comforts of pediatric patients are met during hospital stays.

In addition, Santa Monica Place offers a full service food court with custom menus for children. The outdoor destination has a unique and popular "Valet and Play" parking program, offering three hours of free valet parking if dining at one of the restaurants, complete with three separate valet locations on Broadway, 4th Street, and 2nd Street.
