Join us at Lookout Rock in Northbridge, Massachusetts for a memorable program of capturing and banding saw-whet owls as they migrate south. You will learn about the banding process, the data collected, and how we fit into a nationwide network of saw-whet owl banding stations. We will also discuss many aspects of the saw-whet's natural history including migration routes, habitat requirements, food sources, and behavior. While waiting for the owls, we may be serenaded by barred or screech-owls and coyotes. - - Open to anyone age 16 or older. Directions to meeting site will be sent to registrants. Registration is required. Call 781-259-2200 for details. See http://www.massaudubon.org/catalog/listing.php?program_code=1047-DFP10FA1 for more information.
