Scarves to Dye for July 30, 2011

This workshop will be taught by Shelley Ryan, host of Wisconsin Public Television's The Wisconsin Gardener. Create beautifully dyed silk scarves using common garden plants. Shelley will guide participants through an easy technique that can be repeated at home with confidence. Participants will practice all the steps of this process which ultimately takes four weeks. Because of the duration of this process, Shelley will start some of the scarves in advance of the workshop. Participants will each go home with four dyed scarves - three started by them and one by Shelley. The scarves will be complete in four and two weeks respectively and Shelley will describe all elements of this process. All materials will be provided.
