"Second Friday" in Mt. Airy January 8, 2010

Ringing in the New Year has created a one-of-a-kind event along Germantown Ave: Second Friday. While the day has changed to Friday, January 8 due to the holiday, the eclectic boutiques, restaurants and galleries along Germantown Avenue are still open until 9 p.m.

One of the region’s hot spots, Mt. Airy, an earthy and diverse nook of Philadelphia, is experiencing a steady revitalization – and has attracted dozens of new businesses in the last several years. Mt. Airy has the look and feel of Main Street America in an urban setting. On weekends, diverse crowds in growing numbers come together on The Avenue in Mt. Airy for civilized fun.
