Skye Blue's sewing classes focus on different aspects of sewing in a more detailed fashion. Her classes include such curriculum as Darning, Serger Basics, and basic mending.

DYI Patching for Fun and Function: Learn How to Patch

There is still life in those favorite jeans with the torn knees and bike seat wear! Learn to patch them yourself! This class covers patching garments with a sewing machine. We will cover patching from decorative to reinforcing and repair. Learn techniques and strategies for strength and functionality, as well as ideas for adding decorative touches reusing scrap material. We c...an also provide tips on how to best sew embroidered or pre-made patches to all types of garments.
Bring clothes with holes in them to learn on, and take them home repaired! If you can, bring scrap fabric of similar weight and texture to the items being repaired, (denim for denim, silk for silk, etc.). Patching fabric, thread and sewing machines will be provided.

DIY Patching: At Mag-Big, 1 hr class, limited to 6 people, $20 per person.
