For anyone that hasn’t experienced a Rubber Ear show, Sex, Chips and Ouzo is the perfect introduction to one of Scotland’s funniest comedy companies. The play centres around four characters: Two British pals, Sadie and Moira and their involvement with crotch-grabbin’, taxi-cabbin’ Yiorgos and his sidekick, Sotiris. Set in post-invasion Cyprus during the polyester-pumping 70s, the dodgy disco dancing is just par-for-the-farce course. Throw in a dash of ‘sharp as tacks’ one-liners, a couple of floral jumpsuits and you have the perfect recipe for a Cyprus sensation.
