Sun-29-Mar Doors 7.00pm; Music 7.30pm - £15.00
Sheila Jordan & Frank Holder

Born in 1928, Sheila Jordan was singing on Pennsylvania¹s radio stations by the time she was fourteen, was mentored by Charlie Parker and, moreover, was married to Charlie Parker's pianist Duke Jordan. She remains one of the treasured originals of jazz, bringing, as the Guardian puts it, a 'chemistry of innocence and laconic worldliness' to her art, with 'the pedigree and intelligence to draw all kinds of audiences into her own modest but carefully tended backyard... a repertoire of contemporary jazz tunes and standards'.
The band will be Steve Lodder on piano, Jeff Clyne on bass and Trevor Tomkins on drums.
