The Group Rep presents Charles Marowitz’ Sherlock’s Last Case directed by Larry Eisenberg, produced by Drina Durazo. Picking up where Conan Doyle's stories ended, the play centers on a death threat against Holmes by the "son" of his late nemesis, Professor Moriarty. Oddly enough, however, Holmes is warned of the plot by Moriarity's "daughter," to whom Holmes (who turns out to be quite a ladies man) is strongly attracted. The plot twists and turns until Holmes finds himself imprisoned in a dank cellar, trapped and for the first time in his illustrious career surprised by human behavior. Part spoof, part loving tribute...all fun! Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm. Sundays at 2pm. Talk-back Sundays: Dec. 16 & Jan. 6. Nov. 30 – Jan. 13, 2013. Tickets: $22. Seniors/Students: $17; Groups 10+: $15. Ladies Night Fridays 1/2 price tiks. Buy tickets/info: www.thegrouprep.com or 818-763-5990. Lonny Chapman Theatre, 10900 Burbank Blvd., NoHo 91601.

The New York Pitch Conference is an event that promises all writers a fair turn at the New York publishing industry. Editors arrive expecting that New York Pitch Conference organizers have done their best to screen and prepare the writers before they interact with them. No other conference does this.
