Sixteenth Annual
Waukegan Schools Foundation
Golf Tournament
The Sixteenth Annual Waukegan Schools Foundation Golf Outing is set for Wednesday, June 10, 2009 (rain date one week later); at the beautiful 18 hole Bonnie Brook Golf Course, 2800 Lewis Avenue,
This event is designed to provide an opportunity for our families and the surrounding business community to partner with our foundation for an enjoyable day of fellowship and fundraising. We are looking forward to another great tournament and wish to thank all who participate in this great event. This year's tournament benefits our school programs and our Foundation's operating budget.
This year with the money raised at last year’s event, the Foundation was able to sponsor school programs such as:
Feeling Good Walking Club at Washington School - $1000
Distributive Education Career Academy at W.H.S. - - $1000
Writer’s Workshop at Glen Flora School - $1000
Science Enrichment Program at Lyon School - $1000
Our golf event is a scramble five-some, so the competition is between groups, not individuals. The day begins with registration at 7:30 a.m., continental breakfast, tee off at 8:00 a.m., and ends with lunch. We provide the opportunity, the course, the carts, the lunch, the prizes, the perfect day, and the cause, all for $200 per person.
This year we will also be offering for our non- golfers the opportunity to take a golf lesson, and be introduced to the world of golf, starting at 11 a.m. with lunch included at the cost of $50.
If you are interested in participating in this event and/or donating a raffle item / check, please call Mr. Wayne Machnich at 1.847.406. 1136 for more info.
