Slim Forsythe and the Parklane Drifters October 24, 2008

Hello Friends & Neighbors!
Me and my wondrous Band, Slim Forsythe & the Parklane Drifters (Scratchy, Big Rock, Candy Mountain) will play a very special show at Nied's Hotel this Friday night, October 24th, from 8:00 to 11:00 PM. It's at 5438 Butler Street right on the corner of Butler and 55th in Lawrenceville.
Nied's is my new home and the folks down there have welcomed me with open arms. It's not only a concert, it's a home comin' party for old Slim and we sure hope you can join us!
We plan to play a couple sets and when we take a break, Nied's is gonna show the brand new video of John Vento & the Nied's Hotel Band: "Catholic Girls!" I've seen it three or four times. I really love it and I think you will too.
And here's more good news: Our brand new hit single, Steeltown Christmas, is now available for sale at all Pittsburgh area Borders Books locations. We'll have it for sale this Friday night at Nied's Hotel too. Heck, we might even play the song for you live!
It's a beauty! An original Slim Forsythe composition. And I'm so proud of those Parklane Drifters. They worked hard on it and they sound wonderful. I can't wait for you to hear this very special record (on the new-fangled, convenient compact disk format).
