Small-Scale Agriculture - Keep the Crops Coming July 20, 2011

It's summer and your garden is growing; you are even starting to harvest but you can't rest on your laurels yet. What happens after the lettuce and peas? What can you do to keep things growing happily through the dog days of summer? How can you control the weeds that proliferate faster than your beans and tomatoes? What do you need to do now to keep harvesting through September and even October? This program returns to Robin's successful home gardening set-up. She will cover how to deal with summer and plan for the fall. Learn how to get the most from your garden with successional planting and timely harvesting. - - Open to anyone age 16 or older. Directions will be sent to registrants. - - Drumlin Farm is committed to the concept of eating locally and eating well. We've launched an effort to build a diverse community of 'locavores' who share the belief that supporting local farming is best for our economy, our health, and our environment.
