Let Jeff Allen, a Tech Rep with Tamron USA, introduce you to macro or close-up photography, photography for that world at your feet, the world of pygmy flowers and busy-bugs.

The class starts on Friday, June 24 at F-11 Photographic Supplies with a two hour classroom session. In the classroom, Allen covers the basics, including what type of accessories are really needed for great close up shots. Learn about selective metering & focusing, white balancing, and alternative perspective control -- creative tools invaluable to expressing your vision.

After a lunch break on your own, you’ll head in to the field for a couple of hours to practice your new macro shooting skills with a variety of loaner lenses provided by Tamron. The field shooting will be followed by image-sharing and a critique of the day’s work back at the F-11 classroom.

Visit Tamron’s online blog at http://bit.ly/j8bEfM for articles and pictures by Jeff (and others).

The cost for this workshop is $69.99 or $50 when you purchase the class at the same time that you sign up for the Saturday workshop, A Day on Fairy Creek. Pre-registration is required. To reserve your space, call 586-3281, or stop by F-11 Photographic Supplies, 16 E. Main, Downtown Bozeman. Then bring your camera, your enthusiasm and your creativity to capture great macro images of that beautiful world at your feet.
