Dancing Wheels Chasing Shadows Solo Show by Joshua Koodathinal John. Visual thoughts on love, liberty, and the divine inspired by five years of motorcycle journeys across India. Delhi-based artist Joshua Koodathinal John presents his first solo show at Reflection Art Gallery & Studios-a selection of acrylic paintings, poetry, photographs and video installation. His motorcycle journeys across India and Nepal over the last five years form the backdrop to this series, exploring ideas of intimacy over industry, relationship over religion. Like pauses on a winding pilgrimage road, the works contain glimpses into days of motorcycle meditation and high altitude solitude. The unearthed mess of colors, raw and riotous, lie fresh with hope and joy in the tension of current inadequacies and future possibilities. Joshuas probing brings forth proverbial one-liners woven into the canvas along with ancient parables.
