This event, sponsored by Georgetown Law Students for DC, will examine the origins of and at least one potential solution to the District of Columbia's lack of voting representation in Congress. Panelists will discuss the viability of the DC FAIR Act, sponsored by Congressman Tom Davis (R-VA) and other potential solutions to the voting rights issue. Panelists inlcude: Ilir Zherka, Executive Director of DC Vote, Johnny Barnes, Executive Director of the ACLU-National Capital Area Chapter, and Shadow Senator Paul Strauss. The panel will be moderated by Walter Smith, Executive Director of the DC Appleseed Project. 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Georgetown Law Center, McDonough Building, Room 201. A reception with wine and hor' dourves will follow.
