Sonja Thomsen work represents three separate series considering water. Surface explores the potential of water and the seductiveness of looking. Churn creates an immersive experience of the quiet surging under the surface of a Great Lake in winter and Swept records the sequence of the wind dancing across the surface of a river that runs, white with suspended sediment, from the foot of a glacier.
