Southland Opera's 10th Anniversary Celebration September 15, 2007

A generous reception featuring a diverse selection of hors d’oeuvres and competition wines is followed by an evening of fun favorites from opera, operetta, Broadway and even some improvisation. Performers include Southland’s General Director, Ann Noriel, as well as members Craig Gilmore, Lauri D. Goldenhersh, Rollin Lofdahl, Michelle Sarkesian, Diane Sawyers, Benita Scheckel, Richard Sheldon, Michael Upward and Carol Winston. The singers will be accompanied by pianist Mark Salters.

General Admission for the reception and concert is $30. All funds raised will benefit Southland Opera’s very active outreach program, which not only offers highly creative live productions of opera and musical theater to audiences of all ages, but works with schools and teachers across the Southland to provide collaborative, hands-on workshops in classroom settings. To date, the company has given more than 4,500 performances and workshops, while educating and entertaining more than one million students. Donations and ticket orders may also be sent to 535 S.
