Providence, Rhode Island 02903

This introductory photography workshop will enable you to fully understand your digital camera and when best to use its features and functions. You will learn how to take great photographs instead of hit and miss shots and use the full functionality of your camera.

You will be taught how to use photographic techniques creatively, identifying good compositions and capturing interesting angles and points of view. With your new eye you will be taken out into the city and green spaces of Providence capturing the historic architecture and the beautiful New England Spring before returning to the classroom for a gentle critique.

By the end of this course you will understand when and how to use the features and functions of your camera, be able to understand more about composing a great photograph and how to use photographic techniques to achieve creative effects. You may never use the auto function again!
