St Margaret’s House is hosting a fun-packed month of arts activities for the entire family to enjoy.
Throughout August, The Create Place and The Gallery Café (St Margaret’s House’s non-profit arts venues) are collaborating to hold the Family Fringe- a varied summer arts program. The Fringe will comprise of workshops tailored for families with children aged 1-16. The aim of which is to allow parents and children to learn new skills, share ideas and produce a final piece to be proud of.
The workshops will offer the chance for family members to participate in FILM, MUSIC, DANCE and VISUAL ARTS as well as ARTS and CRAFTS workshops. Run as weekly projects, the workshops have been specifically designed to provide the community with a unique and exciting opportunity to get involved in a range of creative genres which will culminate in a Family Fringe Festival at the end of the month. This festival aims to celebrate and share everyone’s work, with performance, display and film-viewing.
We have a range of skilled and creative people to run the workshops and enthusiastic volunteers that will be on-hand to help. There will also be the opportunity to meet those involved in the workshops and others attending in our open day.
