St. Paddy's 5k Run/community Walk And ‘little Leprechaun Dash For The Gold’ March 3, 2013

St. Patrick’s Day will come early this year in the South Bay. On Sunday, March 3 the Village Runner will host its annual 5K Run/Community Walk and ‘Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold’ in Redondo Beach, CA.

The St. Patrick's Day 5K Run/Walk and ‘Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold’ expects over 2,700 runners at the start of the race in Riviera Village. A portion of the proceeds will go to local schools.

Participants often run in full St. Paddy’s Day outfits with shamrocks painted on their faces and bodies, lucky beads, Leprechaun hats and green party outfits. Runners typically fill the local bars and restaurants following the race to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day.

Late Registration for the St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run/Community Walk starts at 6:30 a.m., the Walk begins at 8 a.m. and the Kids Dash starts at 9:30 a.m. Pre-packet Pick-up is Saturday, March 2 from Noon – 7 p.m. at the Village Runner in Redondo Beach.
