Storyteller Doug Motel knows that life is full of hard knocks. When he was four years old, he fell off of a ladder and split his head open. But instead of just seeing stars, Doug saw the entire Universe: “I was floating above my body and looked down to see my mother putting pressure onto my loose bleeding scalp! Later, my room started spinning and spinning clockwise until the room, our apartment and the whole city disappeared and its place was a giant, breathing orb that spoke to me!”

Out of this mystical experience came a message that changed his life forever:
“The UniVerse is made of many notes, but it is only one song. All is one.”

An award-winning playwright and performer, "Doug Motel makes 'conscious comedy'. He makes me laugh and he makes me think," said best selling author Marianne Williamson. “StarDUST is about how we actually are the Universe, and that each of us does have the power to literally change the world with our thoughts and actions, we are already doing it everyday,” Motel says. The solo piece being presented at The Buriel Clay Theater in San Francisco on the 28th of May takes audiences on a roller coaster ride of laughter and tears, weaving personal adventures in the phone sex trade, a too-close-for-comfort eye witness account of 911 in lower Manhattan, a bizarre chance encounter with Mike Tyson, new discoveries in quantum physics and current events into a life-changing experience that leaves audiences enlivened and filled with hope for the future.

Tickets are $17. Performance time is 8:00 PM. For tickets go to www.DougMotel.com or call (415) 787-DOUG. StarDUST’s running time is approximately 80 minutes without an intermission. Mature content not suitable for children under 13 years of age.
