STET at SWET Proofreading Workshop May 14, 2010

Proofreaders are the people who correct spelling and check layout, but they also do much, much more. This workshop will be useful to anyone concerned with producing text that is professional, attractive, and error-free.

Katherine (Roo) Heins, freelance proofreader for Kodansha International and magazines such as Kateigaho International Edition will share her expertise. Discussion and hands-on exercises will acquaint participants with basic procedures and invite them to think about the balance between consistency and readability, and considerations particular to proofreading English-language materials in Japan.
