Survival of the Fattest! January 12, 2011

A perfect winter activity for homeschoolers! How do deer and turkeys and foxes survive the winter? It's a race to see who has the most energy to survive. We will examine animal mounts and signs of animals in winter. We will also do an experiment with fur, fat and feathers to see which insulates the best. It's a great chance to combine science and the great outdoors. Appropriate for ages 6-9. Dress for the weather. Please pre-register. Min 10/Max 30 participants.
