Huntington's disease (HD) is a hereditary, degenerative, neurological brain disease that is fatal and has no cure. There are thousands of people in CT that are touched by this devastating disease whose symptoms resemble a combination of Alzheimers, Parkinsons and Schizophrenia.
Research funded by HDSA is of benefit everyone, not just those affected by this disease. The knowledge gained, and the techniques developed by our scientists is being utilized by their colleagues working on solutions for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and every other disease that has a genetic component – and current thinking is that almost every major disease has one.
The cure is in sight but funds are needed to continue the fight. Please help us make a difference.
Register to walk and raise funds at www.firstgiving.com/hdsa-ct.
