Music Speaks, a program of Passim, teaches teenagers from all communities basic guitar playing and songwriting techniques. With the help of dedicated teachers, donated guitars, and scholarships, Music Speaks provides a nurturing musical environment for teenagers. Through music education, students learn valuable life skills, including confidence, creativity, and discipline.

Beginning Guitar Class Description:
Do you love to listen to music and wish you could play the songs you love? In this class you'll learn guitar technique and some basic theory by learning songs. You will build a 'guitar playing toolbox' of chords as well as strumming and finger picking patterns that help you work through the initial hurdles of guitar playing: putting your fingers on the strings, reading chord charts, and singing playing simultaneously.
