The Coricancha Quechua Quri Kancha, 'Golden Temple') originally Inti Kancha (Temple of the Sun) is the Inca temple which was built on the Convent of Santo Domingo.Fue one of the most revered and respected churches in the city of Cusco, in Peru. The enclosure of gold, as he was known, was a sacred place where the most revered and honored God Inca: Inti (Sun), so it could enter only fasting, barefooted and with a load on his back as a sign of humility, as indicated by the high priest Willaq Umu (Wila).
