Terra Incognita
The end of time.
The death of culture.
‘Terra Incognita’, a unique Meta-Event, whose landscape is
inhabited by every unimaginable creature of art, beauty and horror.
FoolishPeople Theatre Company are collaborating with over 40
different artists and musicians, worldwide to create an immense huge
interwoven story that is told over the course of the event.
1. An unknown land; an unexplored region: A vast and final Terra
Incognita left to Intra-terrestrial explorers.
2. A new or unexplored field of knowledge.
Weaponised Theatre, Art Space, Spoken Word, Films, Animation, Live
Bands, Dancers, D.J’s and The Holy Body Modification chamber; all
using FoolishPeople’s open source myth to create the story with
performance, live art installation, and music all through the night.
“Foolish People's Dark Nights of the Soul is a truly unique
production. By turns darkly comic, surreal, horrific, genuinely
thought provoking and certainly not for the faint of heart. Verdict:
Dark Nights of the Soul is pure Fortean magick. 10/10”
Oll Lewis, Fortean Times
Notes for editors:
Terra Incognita is a fundraising event to help the 491 Gallery, a
sustainable community art project to stay open. The 491 gallery is
threatened with closure later this year.
FoolishPeople is a not-for-profits organisation, which was founded
1991, taking its name from one of the Major arcana: Card 0-The Fool.

FoolishPeople create Theatre, Art and Film that is an essential
ritual, which raises a numinous experience within the spectator by
combining live art with Hermetica, Gnosticism and the Esoteric. Our
work is a powerful tool for positive change, which revolves around
the suggestion that a story can be all encompassing, intriguing and
entirely interactive.
In January 2006, John Harrigan was the first person to be presented
with the Magi of Trygonia award for FoolishPeople’s ‘Dark Nights
of the Soul’ Anthology of Plays which were performed during a
thirteen month residency at The Horse Hospital, Londons centre of the
avant garde. It was awarded by the Dionysian Underground, a anti
hierarchical, initiatory association of Bacchic Adepts, Ariadnan
Shamans and Orphic Illuminati, dedicated to the transformation of
self and society.
Photographs, images and reviews of both FoolishPeople’s previous
work and artists involved with Terra Incognita are available on
request from John Harrigan.
