Ever wondered what the difference is between an ale and a lager? Or a Pilsner and an India Pale Ale? Or how you could make beers at home that are every bit as good as brewpub and microbrewery beers? This program is perfect for all beer enthusiasts who have always wanted to know more about their favorite beverage. Come to the library to learn just what the many different kinds of beer are and how you can make them yourself at home. Jeff Renner, a local homebrewer, nationally ranked beer judge and internationally well-known author in the brewing community, will describe and show basic and more advanced brewing techniques including the ingredients, equipment and time involved in home brewing. He will provide an annotated list of Internet and printed resources and answer any questions you might have.
