The Art of Matzo Baking
Baking will be held on March 18 at the Jewish Camp of the Arts. Kids zoom around the room at 2PM and adults race around the clock at 3PM.
Ready, set, go! The fast and exact art of making Matzo must be done within 18 minutes from start to finish, The clock starts ticking when the water touches the flour.
knead it out roll it out, rocking around the clock! You can make it square, you can make it round.
Every detail from the grinding to the baking must be precise so come grind those hips and make sure to punch your holes
in the dough so you don't end up with pita looking Matzo.
The mad race ends once the matzo is baking in the oven and you're watching a quick presentation. Then you take home real handmade matzo from Israel.
