The Bakersfield Sound March 10, 2013

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is proud to present The Bakersfield Sound: Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and California Country. Bakersfield became a haven for people escaping the Dust Bowl, and this exhibit explores the music scene that developed in the 40s, 50s and 60s. Narration is provided by Dwight Yoakam via a series of TVs throughout the exhibit.
