The Bluebird of Happiness April 9, 2011

In his charming book, Wake Robin (1871), the great Catskill naturalist John Burroughs noted that "the bluebird is the first bit of color to cheer the northern landscape." Nowadays, they are with us year-round. Come join us on a field study of our official state bird as we commemorate the date of Burroughs' birth.
