The Central Jersey Choral Society May Concert May 21, 2010

The Central Jersey Choral Society will present Vivaldi's GLORIA, and and selected works by Fauré and Gounod, with Christopher Loeffler, Director, and Dr. Camilla Jarnot, Organist.

Of the music to be performed, Dr. Jarnot states, “Vivaldi's GLORIA, RV 589 was completed during his time teaching at the orphanage the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice, and remains his most well-loved sacred choral work today. The choral writing is often instrumental in style, highlighting Vivaldi's experience as virtusoso violinist and as a composer of instrumental works.”
