The Downtown Portrait Project April 30, 2009

The Downtown Portrait Project is a collection of photographs and text elements collected the month following the Main Street explosion of March 5 in Bozeman, Montana by photographer Ben Pierce. The exhibition depicts the trauma of the explosion and the resilience of the Bozeman community to overcome the events of that day.

An Opening Artist Reception is scheduled for May 8 from 5:30-7 p.m. The exhibition will hang in the Atrium Gallery of the Bozeman Public Library through July 31, 2009. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Downtown Relief Fund and the Tara Reistad Bowman Memorial Endowment Fund.
