Join the staff of the botanical garden for a guided tour of the cutting edge gardens of The High Line, New York City's newest park. Recently completed, the High Line is built on an elevated 1930's freight rail structure on Manhattan's West Side. These extensive gardens echo the wild, self-seeded landscape that grew up on the structure after the trains stopped running. The landscape is designed by James Corner Field Operations and Diller Scofidio + Renfro, with the consultation of Holland's champion of New Wave gardening, Piet Oudolf.
