The Library Company Presents: "Images of America: Camp William Penn" author Donald Scott August 20, 2008

Featuring over 200 vintage photographs, "Camp William Penn" explores the story of the camp near Cheltenham, Pa., where 11,000 African Americans, many ex-slaves, were trained as Union Soldiers.

Donald Scott, Sr. is a history columnist for the Journal-Register Company and an Assistant Professor of English at the Community College of Philadelphia.

Reception begins at 5:30 p.m.
Program begins at 6:00 p.m.
