Since the Cold War, changing war situations have led to new demands in intelligence. The 9/11 Commission suggested major changes at the CIA, and the Intelligence Reform Act of December 2004 created a new intelligence czar. Melvin Goodman examines the reforms as well as the implications for the role of intelligence in the new era of counter terrorism. Recommended for adults audiences only.
Mr. Goodman is a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy in Washington, DC and an adjunct professor of international security. Dr. Goodman earned his doctorate in Russian Studies and U.S. Diplomatic History from Indiana University. He received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins.
