“THE SPOT”
“The Spot” – Written & Directed by Danny LeGare
The Spot is a coming of age, slice of life dramodey about six people in a bar (The Spot) over the course of one day. George comes back to his hometown because his father is ill and he is trying to come to terms with himself and where he is in life before his father passes; that is how he ends up at The Spot. The Spot is where you go when you have nowhere else to go. It’s a sanctuary to many creatures of habit that live in the town and it is a place you find yourself when you are looking to get lost and figure it all out. “The Spot has been and is here to stay.”

Danny LeGare (George/Director/Writer) Originally from Stafford Springs CT, Danny left home at 18 to join the circus. He was a clown for Ringling Bros. and traveled around the United States for a little over a year before returning home to CT. Danny didn't stay put for long and soon after moved to New York to pursue a career in film. While there, he attended Brooklyn College and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After 5 years in NYC he made the big move to Los Angeles to further his career. Since then Danny has acted in, written, directed and produced several short films. Including "Even If", written and directed by Danny, which made it's world premier this past June at the 2007 Playhouse West Film Festival. "Even If" was also recently accepted into the Cinema City International Film Festival and was an official selection at the LA Short Film Festival. Danny is extremely excited to be making his play-writing and stage directorial debut with "The Spot". He would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their hard work and his friends and family for their support through the years.
