Windsor Arms Hotel Pays Tribute to the Catastrophe of 1912
“It is Important to Remember”

The Windsor Arms Hotel pays tribute to the Titanic, Saturday April 14th, 2012, recreating the Afternoon Tea of that fateful day back in 1912.

The Windsor Arms Hotel Titanic Afternoon Tea, will offer tea-time treats inspired by the original Titanic Tea Menu, augmented by the current selections of the Windsor Arms Hotel Tea Menu. In addition, each patron will be given a complimentary Royal Doulton plate featuring the Titanic.

In April of 1912, the Titanic sailed from Southampton on its maiden voyage, with 2,228 passengers and crew onboard. Just four days into its journey, the Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank. 1523 people died. 705 survived.

When asked why we should pay tribute to such a tragedy as the sinking of the Titanic, Mr. Friedmann, owner of the Windsor Arms Hotel, simply answers “It is important to remember, so tragedy does not repeat”.
