Our exploration has reached far beyond where we can travel physically. With the Hubble Space Telescope and other instruments used to study deep space, we can study and understand places we'll likely never experience first-hand. In the last area of the Explorations gallery, you learn about Hubble and see its striking images, examining a scale model up close. "Listen" to space for sounds of intelligent civilizations in an exhibit about the science of SETI. As you leave the gallery, stroll past a stunning image of Earth spinning in the blackness of space.

A Moveable Feast was founded in Carmel Valley in 1976 by Michael Jones.
Michael has a world of experience. He trained in New York City and Ithaca, New York with Etienne Merle at Auberge du Cochon Rouge. He also served a full apprenticeship in France, Switzerland and Austria in the kitchen, dining room and as a sommelier.
Michael has worked in New York, Colorado, Oregon, Mexico and the Caribbean, and brings New World freshness and innovation to the Old World techniques and tradition of service. He has owned successful restaurants in Telluride and Carmel. A Moveable Feast has been operating in Carmel Valley since 1976.
Our staff is young, enthusiastic and energetic. They love their work. Most are college or graduate students and they bring with them intelligence and a sense of responsibility as well as a love of great food and service.
We take great pride in the quality of our ingredients. We specialize in organic fruits and vegetables from small, local farms. Our fish is all from local waters, and our meats are always fresh and of the highest quality, organic and free-range wherever possible.
We also pride ourselves in our flexibility. We do not do cookie-cutter events. Each party is fashioned to your individual needs. Everything is flexible, the menu, ingredients, budget, and service. We adapt to any situation.
