The Tokyo String Quartet has captivated audiences and critics alike since it was founded more than 30 years ago. Regarded as one of the supreme chamber ensembles of the world, the Tokyo Quartet has collaborated with a remarkable array of artists and composers, built a comprehensive catalogue of critically acclaimed recordings and established a distinguished teaching record. Renowned pianist, conductor and teacher Leon Fleisher, a native San Franciscan now in his sixth decade before the public, has concertized all over the world with every major orchestra and conductor and made numerous touchstone recordings with George Szell and the Cleveland Orchestra.
