Tom Burre and Joe Reinsel April 26, 2004

Composer and performer Tom Burre is one of the Capital Region?s most talented and challenging artists, both as a solo performer and with the avant-rock ensemble Bone Oil. Equally adept on guitar, laptop and vocals, Burre?s works have pushed the boundaries of organic and electronic artistry. He is currently the Assistant Executive Director of the Electronic Music Foundation. Joe Reinsel?s works involve live improvised audio and video using selected samples taken from field recordings; his last few compositions have been personal reflections on the precariousness of nature. Reinsel has an M.F.A. in Electronic Arts from RPI?s iEAR Studios and an M.A. in Music composition and Music technology from Radford University, and currently teaches workshops in digital media at Johns Hopkins University.
