Tours of Farmington Historic Home August 8, 2008

The tour begins in the Visitors Center with a video. The house and grounds interpretation is divided into three integrated parts: architecture, the Speed family (the planter family) and the enslaved African American community. Also interpreted is the famous Lincoln 1841 visit to his closest friend and confidant, Joshua Speed, at the Farmington plantation.
