Trucks, Tractors and Tools June 2, 2011

Is a tractor tire bigger or smaller than a truck tire? What did farmers use before they had machines? What is the smallest tool that farmers use? Join us as we go on a search for trucks, tractors, and tools all over the farm and see the important jobs they help us do. We'll meet Drumlin's own farmer and others as we get a behind-the-scenes look at some of these mega machines! - - All ages welcome; up to three children per adult. Fees apply to all participants, both adults and children. Backpack babies (under 12 months of age and carried in a backpack or sling) are welcome free of charge. The fee for children between the ages of 12 and 17 months is half the regular fee. Mass Audubon family memberships must be current to receive member rates; please consider joining when you register. - - Things You Should Know: - - -Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary is a dynamic environment. Occasionally we may make programmatic changes to take advantage of new opportunities or to maintain the safety of the visitors and the animals we care for. - - -Children should be the age indicated by the start of each program. - - -Programs include time indoors, as well as outside and will run rain or shine; please come dressed comfortably for our outdoor adventures! - - -In programs where there is a farm to food connection, snacks from the farm may be incorporated. - - - If severe weather occurs please call our cancellation line by dialing 781-259-2200 (press 2, then 3).
