The University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Black Hills State University on Monday, March 1 at 7:30pm.
The concert is part of a Wyoming/South Dakota tour for the orchestra, and will include the selections from Handel’s Royal Fireworks Music, Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony, Blue Windows by Joe Curiale (originally written for Doc Severinsen), the Hummel Trumpet Concerto, A Camp David Overture by the young American composer Bruce Roter, and more.
Appearing as a soloist with the orchestra will be Scott Meredith, professor of trumpet at UW. The UWSO’s long-time maestro, Michael Griffith will conduct.
