Visioncon, southwest Missouri’s premier gaming, science fiction and fantasy convention, is back and bigger than ever for 2010.
Last year’s convention set records; plan now to be part of this year’s event!
Most of today’s hit movies, television shows and book series fall into the science fiction and/or fantasy genre.
Other attractions include non-stop gaming, vendors galore, a masquerade ball, and two film rooms – one showing popular Hollywood releases, the other showing Missouri-made films. This may be your lone opportunity to view some of the local films; come to Visioncon to sample some of our state’s film talent.
Guests can purchase a weekend admission pass for $40, but the art room and vendor room are free to the public. One day passes are $25 for ages 17+. One day passes are $20 for ages 11-17. Children under 11 get in free. Visioncon also provides free day care for paying guests.
Proceeds from Visioncon benefit Bridges for Youth, a local charity serving young people in Springfield.
