Passover Party

On certain holidays, Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly volunteers provide companionship, an escort to a nutritious meals and flowers to our elder friends. For our more mobile elder friends who wish to socialize, our volunteers and staff serve as hosts, cooks, and drivers for holiday parties held at the warm Little Brother’s house in Jamaica Plain.

This year, for Passover, we are hosting a event on April 16th, 2008 and are seeking people to pick elders up to bring them here from within 'Boston proper' close to where you already live.
(Pickup elders between your house and our offices, and then give them a lift home.

Passover commemorates the Exodus, the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. Passover marks the "birth" of the Children of Israel who become the Jewish nation. The primary symbol of Passover is the matzo, a flat, unleavened "bread" which recalls the hurriedly-baked bread that the Israelites ate after their hasty departure from Egypt.
